Video information

Description: Name: Volume Swells with Delay Description: Set the delay for a quick "slapback" with only one repeat. Hook your little finger under the volume knob. Pick with the volume at zero, and fade each note in. Play "against" the delay, not with it. Tips: Distortion and reverb help a bit. The key is to synch up with the delay, and to "keep up" with it. Start with slower delay times if the volume knob trick is slowing you down at first. Listen to Van Halen's song 'Cathedral' (from the Diver Down album) to hear this lick played at it's finest. Yngwie Malmsteen has been known to use this lick as well.
